To combat the wave of spam, I'm made the community and it's membership moderated for the day. LJ was already automatically removing entries from those 20 some odd accounts that have been spam bombing us, but just as a back up.
Now I need to turned it off. Or that is the hope. PM me if you can't post for some reason. LOL

As summer heats up and the holiday/hiatus doldrums kick in, I wanted to put out a call for cracked reccer's for the summer.

j2_crack has a policy of open recin'g any time, but over the summer it would be especially lovely if you stumble upon, or think of a great J2 story, art or vid to put in a rec here. We have a lovely predone *Vanna hands * rec'ing template: Here.
Or you can just list them. I would just be nice to have people post randomly over the summer and help fill those kindles and ipads full of cracky goodness.

So we had some pretty amazing results for our Big Bang Opinion Poll and there is still time to leave feedback. Lots of good ideas and I'll be putting a post together with the result soon so get any final comments in now. I think the tentative name for our bang will be 'Fractured Fairy Tales' (also known as the Go The Fuck To Sleep! Bang) courtesy of cassiopeia7 and linvro21 respectively and we'll be starting end of August with two deadlines, November and January.

Crack: A work of fanfiction (or art or video) that has an absurd, surprising or ridiculous element to it. One that is intentionally unbelievable and insane, and often humorous. Usually short one-shots, simple vids or illustrations. The oddity can be a pairing, a situation, or an all-around AU. That is not to say it needs to be ludicrous, either – it can have serious elements to it (i.e. plot!), it merely needs some sort of twist on our "normal" reality.
